Sarah Lerche, one of the principals of the firm, has extensive experience providing CFO/controller consulting services to international companies and startups, with a particular focus on life sciences,
clean tech and software. She has served both public and private companies in
building and managing complex and multi national budgets and strategic plans.
Prior to founding Carzetta (strategic financial advice services) and subsequent
merger into Escalon Services, Sarah was the Vice President of Finance &
Administration for MAP Royalty as well as Cendura Corporation. She oversaw the
reporting and administration of over 1,700 investors, including annual reporting,
audited financials, tax information and financial analysis.
Sarah has an MBA in Finance from the University of San Francisco, where she was
awarded the McLaren School of Business Fellowship and a Bachelor in Science in
Accounting from the University of San Francisco. A native of Norway, she has been a
Master Swimmer since 2003 when she swam across the Bay, from Alcatraz to San Francisco.
Gina is a senior financial executive with a diverse background in wireless
networks, medical devices, software, and semiconductor industries. Prior to
joining Escalon, her client and employer base has included Tesla Motors,
Carrier IQ, Serus, Tropos Networks, Applied Imaging, and Siliconware USA. As
a controller for local and international startups, public, and private companies,
Gina has produced budgets, forecasts, board presentations, and SEC reporting.
She has managed audits, implemented accounting systems, developed policy
and procedures for revenue recognition, and led SOX compliance initiatives.
Gina is widely recognized as an agent for positive change through her strong
leadership and partnership with sales, operations and management teams.
Gina has a BS in Accounting and an HR Certification from the Employers Group.
Tisha Storey has worked in the human resources field for over 14 years with a
special focus in the high-tech and bio-tech industries. She understands the
complexity of federal, multi-state, local, and UK labor laws. Tisha develops and
implements streamlined human resources practices and policies, ensuring that
human resources policies drive success while boosting morale.
Tisha holds an MBA, with a concentration in Human Resources, from Golden Gate
University. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
Ruby Sahiwal is a seasoned entrepreneur. He has started and managed and/or
exited 4 companies in software, services and biofuels. Prior to his entrepreneurial
phase, Ruby's career has been a blend of 'hands-on' operations and broad strategic
perspective. He has held operating line roles at GE, i2 Technologies,
Tradeum/VerticalNet, Aentropy, Ketera, and General Biofuels, and advised Fortune
100 companies at McKinsey & Company.
Ruby has an MBA from the University of Chicago with an emphasis on Strategy &
Economics and a Dual BS in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from SUNY at
Anurag brings Escalon’s clients a unique blend of ‘hands-on’ operational experience
and strong analytical and strategic capabilities. His experience encompasses finance,
controllership and operational functions. Over his career Anurag has set up and run
supply-chain, outsourced operations, finance and accounting functions and
managed a $200M P&L for HP. He has delivered product direction and implemented
strategic selling techniques for startup software vendors, and has led several large
cross-functional teams to deliver and deploy new technologies, products and
services to diverse markets.
Anurag has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, with an emphasis in
Finance, and a BS Electronics and Communication Engineering from Punjab
Engineering College, India.
Yair Segev, NY Practice Lead, Business and financial leader with the ability develop and deliver strategic development and execution of company-wide financial policies and procedures. Distinguished, hands-on experience in driving corporate development activities, assisting startups, reorganizing financially distressed companies, and the managing the acquisition and integration process. Astute leader who adds value through proactive decision-making, business process reengineering, and proven global leadership abilities coupled with mentoring and coaching skills.
Prior to joining Escalon, Yair was the Vice President of Finance for Nielsen Social (a Nielsen McKinsey company) as well as various finance responsibilities within Nielsen Online. Yair also served as CFO of chemical trading company and treasurer at a multi national telecom company
