Jamie Hanson

Senior Associate at PAX Momentum

Meet the VC is a monthly panel event hosted by Escalon and its partners. This month, we had an engaging discussion with Jamie Hanson, of PAX Momentum to discuss fundraising, investment thesis, the current investment climate and more, with our partners Rippling, Stifel Bank and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

About Jamie Hanson

Jamie has worked part-time with PAX for several years, finally joining full-time at the beginning of 2023. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Economics. While he loves working with founders and connecting with the Venture Capital community, Jamie directs investor outreach with PAX.

An East Coast native living in Salt Lake City, UT, Jamie loves being outdoors, primarily rock climbing along the Wasatch Range. He also enjoys reading books on history (the denser the better), snowboarding in the winter, and playing chess.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can just click a button and set up a new employees’ payroll, health insurance, corporate card, work computer, and third-party apps — like Slack, Zoom, and Office 365 — all within 90 seconds. Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $700M from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, and Bedrock—and was named one of America’s best startup employers by Forbes (#12 out of 500) and the #1 fastest-growing private company in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times.
