Small business owners often become too reliant on one or two big customers and overlook the essential work of generating new clients. Being dependent on only a few customers can deal a threatening blow to your business if things go wrong. Ask for Referrals and Testimonials




This is one of the best ways to get the word out about your company and build credibility. Ask your current customers to refer you to those who might be interested in your products or services. And if your website doesn’t already feature client testimonials, go ahead and request those as well. Highlighting how your firm has helped key customers can also allow you to attract new clients.

Try to market and sell your existing products and services to new customers in different niches, segments or geographical locations, outside your current operations.
