Panelists from Inc. Media, Grit Daily, and Menlo Ventures Along with John Caution Businesses to Gain Wisdom from COVID Experience and Apply Key Learnings

Palo Alto, CA – July 22, 2021 – Escalon and Early Growth, leading Essential Business Services (EBS) providers, held the India COVID Relief Fundraiser virtual event that featured a panel of Who’s Who SMB and startup experts discussing business in a post-COVID business environment, including Daymond John of ABC’s Shark Tank, on July 15. There was over 200 attendees with general feedback that the event proved successful from a fundraising standpoint as well as helping attendees better understand how to cope after the COVID crisis.

In addition, Escalon and Early Growthy introduced its new And Done. Branding at the event. The new “And done.” brand centers on businesses being able to turn to Escalon and Early Growth to just “take that work off their plate and get it done for them,” Escalon CEO Anurag Pal said. The “And done.” moniker is captured in creative articulating it for both companies – “Escalon. And Done.” and “EarlyGrowth. And Done.”

Focal points of the new branding are the websites of Escalon and Early Growth. Both were overhauled to feature the new look and feel of the branding with a heavy emphasis on getting Essential Business Services, aka back-office work, done for customers. The new designs also feature a robust content library full of advice and tips for businesses of all sizes, along with an array of testimonials from some of Escalon’s 5,000 clients and Early Growth’s 5,000 clients.

The online event featured a panel made up of experts in business, media and small business. Among them were:

• Daymond John, CEO of FUBU and celebrity star of ABC's Shark Tank
• Jordan French, Founder, CEO and Executive Editor of Grit Daily, the premiere startup news hub
• Rich Russey, SVP, Publisher, Inc. Media
• Venky Ganesan, Partner at Menlo Ventures

While several topics were discussed during the panel discussion led by Escalon’s CEO Anurag Pal, the teneral consensus from the panel focused on a handful of areas. First, while John focused on the importance of being flexible with staff as employee management will be more challenging as the rules of engagement with staff post-COVID has changes. Inc. Media publisher Russey, felt that SMBs ability to pivot during the pandemic will make SMBs stronger to deal with the future while Executive Editor of Grit Daily said, “the lows often define the highs” and that he sees a lot of pent up energy among SMBs that will be very effective for them in the post-Covid business environment. And, finally, Ganesan, projects new creative ways of funding going for that will affect how VCs and funders will work with startups and entrepreneurs.

“We feel the India COVID Relief Fundraiser and panel discussion was very successful. We are getting really good feedback, particularly represented by donations still coming in,” said Pal who was the host for the event. “The causes are worthwhile and the panel discussion was thought provoking and helpful to attendees. We are very seriously considering doing a similar event next year.”
