How to Find the Good in Every Challenge

Entrepreneurs face a massive number of challenge and tough situations, which for any new business owner can be overwhelming. New entrants in the field of business will typically face tasks that will seem unsolvable or near catastrophic. The only solution in these situations is to keep calm and to get your inner “Zen” on.

Be Self Aware




Being self-aware, both for your business and yourself, can have a positive result. You need to be confident and have a clear understanding of your own capabilities and functions. This will save a lot of trouble later, when life throws you curveballs. This self-awareness and latent confidence can prepare you to face anything and everything that might come your way. It’s confidence that will keep all the self-doubt, negativity and apprehensions at bay.

Prepare for Change




Life is uncertain. If you’re like most people, you can be so skeptical about your future that you try to control every aspect of your life. Unfortunately, you will always fail at that. What you should be doing is preparing for eventualities and changes. Rather than control every aspect of your life and making it perfect, you should look at all scenarios that might and could happen, and prepare in that manner. Not only will you be more fluid in your approach to life, but you’ll adopt a new, flexible attitude so things don’t impact you as severely as they used to.

Strive to Find Joy




An entrepreneur’s life can sometimes be a difficult one, filled with long hours alone and being tired while taking “the dream” uphill. In this bleak land of solitude and hard work, you should strive to find little bursts of joy that will keep you sane and focused on the bigger tasks at hand. A movie, your favorite instrument, time spent with your family, long walks, meditation; anything that gives you joy and takes your mind away for a little while should be explored and experienced. Your problems will seem much less significant at that moment of time.

Face Challenges Head-on




A challenge might test you, push you to your limits and drive you crazy. These responsibilities are challenging for a reason. Many people will skip the hard way and take the easy route, but what do they attain from that? Is there any skill developed by taking the hard way, such as finding new ways to achieve something? Runners who train at high altitudes withstanding all the muscle burn and oxygen deprivation earn accolades when they return to the lower altitudes to race. It’s the same principle. Work hard and you could find new and efficient processes that will benefit your business later.

Impossible is “I M POSSIBLE”




Although you’ve probably heard this phrase repeated many times, it’s one that is executed less often in day to day life. Nothing in this world is impossible — remember that someone, somewhere has done what you are doing. And if not, maybe someone has faced the same difficulty as you and surpassed it. Most of the time when you face an impossible task, it is just your point of view that makes it look impossible. A fresh set of eyes and a relaxed brain do wonders for everyone and everything. You need to just hunker down and trudge along. As the saying goes, “Tough times don’t last, tough people do.”

Solutions Are Everywhere




Every problem has a solution. If you can’t do it, someone else can. Find that someone. Read about your problem, research it, dive deep into its roots, and research how you can solve it. Ask someone who has probably experienced it before. If it’s completely new, then ask someone who might have an idea about it. Discussion, research and a little advice from someone experienced will help you solve any problem that life and work throw at you.

Believe in Karma




You need to believe that what you do will come back to you. People, situations, times will test you. It is your responsibility and duty to not be bothered by them. Sometimes things are in nobody’s control. If you react to the outcome of that situation in a negative way, rest assured that negativity will find its way back to you. Be optimistic and look at things in a positive way — the answers will follow suit. If you define your actions, you define your mind, and you will eventually define the outcome.

Retain Optimism




You must learn to look at the silver lining in every dark cloud. “Hope” is the greatest thing we have available to us. A hope for a better day, a hope for a better way is always on your mind, but just being hopeful does not guarantee that you will get all the answers that you need in your life and work. Preparation is the key and the answer that gives your optimism concrete structure, and enables you to find the good in every challenge that you face.

In all the challenges that you face and will face in the future, remember to follow a few key things: Do not lose hope, be confident in your abilities, keep your optimism alive, find joy in every small thing you do, and last but not least, never back down while facing any challenge. Give your heart and soul to it, because the results in the end far exceed the trials and tribulations.
